Most people are not disconnected from nature.
They are disconnected from sensation.
The world feels flat not because beauty has gone —
but because the body has gone quiet.
When we move through the day braced, rushed, screen-bound,
the nervous system narrows its field.
Attention tightens. Breath lifts.Imagination shuts down.
And when imagination shuts down, so does aliveness.
Imagery directly influences the autonomic nervous system.
When you imagine the sea, breathing often deepens. When you imagine the sky, perception widens. When you imagine sunlight in the chest, posture subtly lifts.
The brain does not distinguish between imagination and lived input. Visualisation activates overlapping neural networks that dictate perception and emotional regulation. Our brains work through prediction, what is imagined to be true becomes. Imagery can reshape those predictions and shift physiological states.
This is why ancients symbols signal transformation
An age old fascination we cannot escape.
We find in the ancient pyramid temples of Egypt,
initiatory texts that invite the reader to
become the lotus, become the falcon, become the rising sun.
This is not just a metaphor.
But a nervous system prompt. We mirror. Babies mirror.
Humans mirror.
It is what our consciousness does.
eg.
The tree image is a living map.
roots support grounding,
trunk supports spine,
branches bring outreach to light and information.
Image reorganises posture.
Posture reorganises breath. Breath reorganises chemistry.

We breathe into and activate the nervous system reset
shift into optimised, more alive, and steady states
but it is a temporary shift
an empty shift
when it is not linked to meaning, to the forms of the world, of nature ...
that allow us to connect to the field ,and feel it within
feeling at one with it
which opens the door and helps us find our way home.
This is what living poetry means.
We need the bio-mechanical hacks
but we are not machines
And as it is and always has been
it is the spirit within the work that is what actually heals us
what the shamans saw sickness of a loss of the spirit of ife
of love and life
And Living poetry
timeless Nature based, Ancient written poetry
is how we ennoble the body
and create lasting change.
Living Poetry is an Inner Technology.
Songline Immersions and Coaching are somatic, body first immersion supported by audio technology but woven with nature imagery and ancient, timeless themes .. to anchor biological shifts. its the secret .. you must inspire yourself!
A One Minute Somatic Shift
Pause for a moment.
Feel your spine as a tree.
Let your breath drop into the belly as if it were a tide.
On the exhale,
release a falling "hahhhh" sound
as though the sound were falling down the trunk of the tree
Anchoring into Earth.
Do not force it.
Let the image shape the sound.
Let the sound shape the breath.
The body remembers what the mind forgets.
